- Strict DQ enforcement applies for: not finishing a hole, late to tee time once all players have teed off, unsigned scorecards, and playing the wrong tees.
- Plus-handicap amateurs will play one tee box back.
- All players are walking – BYOPC (bring your own push cart)
- Single-day tournament
- Amateur and professional divisions compete separately
- Net scores calculated independently
- All players walk the course
- No caddies allowed
- Tee times
- Groups depart in 11-minute intervals
Process & Procedures
- Official scores must be recorded on a physical scorecard. Digital scorecards will not be accepted.
- Each player will receive their own scorecard at the start of the round and must swap scorecards so that every player is responsible for keeping another player’s score.
- To accomplish this, players should stand in a circle and pass their scorecard to the person on their right.
- Throughout the round, you are responsible for:
- Keeping the score of the player listed on your scorecard
- Recording your own score at the bottom of the card for verification purposes.
- A non-playing Designated Scorekeeper will be assigned to each group and will also keep an independent score for all players in the group.
- After each hole, it is the responsibility of every player to confirm scores with:
- The player they are keeping score for
- The player keeping their score
- The Designated Scorekeeper
- Any scoring disputes must be raised and addressed immediately after the hole is completed.
- Upon completing the round all players must proceed directly to the scoring tent.
- It is each player’s responsibility to fully verify:
- Their own scorecard
- The scorecard they kept for another player
- The Designated Scorekeeper’s scorecard
- Only the Designated Scorekeeper’s scorecard must be signed and submitted to attest that the scores are correct.
- Any scoring disputes raised before signing will be resolved using the Designated Scorekeeper’s recorded score as the source of truth.
- Once verified and signed, scorecards must be submitted to the scoring officials at the tent and a picture must be submitted to the Kismet App.
- In the event of a Designated Scorekeeper losing the independent scorecard, all players must recreate it at the scoring tent and come to a shared consensus.
- If a consensus cannot be reached, a tournament official will make the final decision around scores.
- A player may dispute a score only after a hole is completed and before teeing off on the next hole.
- The dispute must be discussed among:
- The player
- The player scorer
- The Designated Scorekeeper
- If no resolution can be reached during play, the player should:
- Continue the round
- Bring the dispute to the scoring tent after completion.
- Any dispute raised after scorecards have been signed and submitted will default to the Designated Scorer’s score, and penalties will be assessed as applicable.
- Official tee times will be emailed to the address used during registration three (3) days prior to the event.
- It is the player’s responsibility to ensure they receive this email.
- If you do not receive the tee sheet, contact [email protected]
- If any player desires to switch from the Gross/Net to the Pro division, talk to a tournament organizer before teeing off to swap.
- No matter your Handicap Index, players must play the appropriate tees for their division.
- A player is considered late if they arrive at the starting tee less than five (5) minutes before their scheduled tee time, but are otherwise ready to play.
- Penalty: Two (2) strokes on the first hole
- A player arriving on or after their scheduled tee time will be disqualified. Disqualified players may still play their round but:
- Their score will not be recorded
- They will not be eligible for prizes
- The starter is responsible for notifying the Designated Scorekeeper of any penalties that are to be applied.
First place will not be shared. In the event of a tie for first place, the following tiebreakers will be applied in order:
- Sudden-Death Playoff (Hole 1)
- All tied players will replay Hole 1
- Lowest score wins
- If the tie persists, Hole 1 will be replayed until resolved
- Order of play will be determined randomly
- Scores on this hole will determine results, and all other results will be adjusted accordingly
- Alternate Playoff Hole
- If Hole 1 cannot be played due to weather, darkness, or safety, the Tournament Director may designate an alternate hole that is:
- Open and playable
- Comparable in difficulty
- Safe and logistically feasible
- Sudden-death format remains in effect.
- Scorecard Countback
- Lowest score on Hole 18
- If still tied, proceed backward: Hole 17, Hole 16, etc.
- In the unlikely event that two or more players are still tied, ties will be broken using the following criteria, in order:
- Most birdies made by the player during the tournament
- Fewest bogeys
- Lowest score on the lowest-handicap hole
- Rock Paper Scissors; Best 2 of 3
- To discourage sandbagging, a lowest total net score of five under par (-5) is enforced.
- If a player’s total net score exceeds -5 (e.g., -7), their score will be adjusted to -5.
- If multiple players are tied at −5 net:
- Ties are broken by handicap index, with the lower index winning.
- If indices are identical, the Gross Tie Breaker process will be applied.
- Failure to submit a scorecard: Two (2) stroke penalty
- Signing and submitting an incorrect scorecard: Automatic disqualification
- Late arrival: Penalties as outlined above
Any player may relinquish their earned prize money if they wish to remain an amateur for any reason. In the event this happens, their prize money will be reallocated to the next eligible player(s) in the field.
Ex. If first place relinquishes their payment, 2nd place will receive the first place earnings, 3rd place will receive the 2nd place earnings, and 4th place will receive the third place earnings. If any of the next eligible players decline as well, then it will simply slide done one placement.
Applied when multiple players are tied at a qualification cutoff:
- Highest individual tournament finish — Best placement across any single event in the series
- Lowest single-event score — Best gross score shot in any event
- Fewest events played — Fewer appearances receive higher priority
